Welcome to Reception, home to Inkpen Class and Dodd Class, named after bestselling children's authors Mick Inkpen and Dame Lynley Dodd

Reception is a wonderful year of discovery, excitement and new beginnings as our children take their first steps into primary school life. It's a time for making friends, building confidence, exploring new experiences and developing a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

Throughout the year, children learn through a rich combination of purposeful play, exploration and carefully planned learning experiences. We encourage curiosity, creativity and independence, providing opportunities for children to investigate, ask questions, develop their communication skills and discover the world around them.

Most importantly, we want every child to feel happy, safe and valued, developing a strong sense of belonging and the confidence to try new things. Our aim is to make Reception a joyful and memorable start to their journey at Bewdley Primary School!
