Home Learning

At Bewdley Primary, Maths home learning is supported by half termly maths activities for each year group that link to the main areas of learning being taught. There are links on several of the activities to related online games. Any children who require practise in specific skills will receive individual homework.

Every child has a username and password for Education City. This is a great website with lots of fun activities that will provide your child with more practise on the areas of Maths they are learning. Please see your child’s class teacher if you need the details to access Education City.

We use many visual resources to support the children in their Maths which they may find useful to have at home when doing these activities. This word document can be downloaded and printed out. It has a hundred square, a times table square, a number line and Numicon templates.

Following Summer term meetings with parents in Y3, Y4 and Y5, whose children need an extra boost to ensure the meet expected age related expectations, we organised stepping stone workshops for these families. The workshops showed the children how to play maths games that will help to improve their basic number fact skills. The stepping stone workshop packs are attached below for anyone who wants to keep their maths skills tip top ready for September!
