I joined the board of governors as a parent governor in March 2019. As an experienced secondary school teacher in a core subject, I felt that I would be able to contribute towards discussions and decisions. I find the role is interesting and gives me a deeper insight into the running of the school.
As a mum of three children who are or will be going up the school, I have a vested interest in the success of Bewdley Primary School. I believe it is important to support the school, the staff and the students and work together to ensure a positive learning journey can be experienced by this little community.
I am currently a link governor for Upper Key Stage 2. Part of the role includes working with the Key Stage coordinator to monitor the impact of teaching and learning. This includes discussing the effectiveness of intervention strategies and support given to all students.
I am proud to be part of the Bewdley Primary School community. The whole team is driven, passionate and always looking for further ways to improve.
