Christopher Auger

I was delighted and privileged to be invited to become a governor in November 2018 and hope that I am able to contribute positively to the School.

This is a perfect time for me to join as my grandson, Archie, has just started in reception and I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to become more involved in the school and the local community in which I have lived for over 30 years and prior to that in Bromsgrove. I have previously held Governor roles at both St. Johns Middle School and Baxter College where my daughter was a student; but this was several years ago and therefore I am very much looking forward to my involvement at Bewdley Primary and working with the Head Teacher and whole team of Governors.

I currently work in the fire protection industry as Head of Schemes (Quality Director) for a small organisation based in the Cotswolds although my background is as an engineer working in the inspection industry. I am currently involved in the post Grenfell Tower enquiry and spend many days a month on competency working groups. My experience is broad but I feel I will be able to add value to areas relating to Health & Safety; premises; quality and the policies and procedures of the school.

In my spare time I love to cook and keep myself fit by regular visits to the gym and walking my dogs across the field and nearby woods.
