Dawn Passey (Clerk)

I am the new Clerk to the Governors (appointed September 2023) and liaise with the Head, Chair and other governors to try and ensure they are up to date with areas such as development, policies, new guidelines and training. I prepare for and take minutes at the six Full Governing Body meetings as well as the Finance and Personnel committee meetings.

My other role is within a college where I am responsible for the delivery of the tutorial programme, the academic progress of adult learners and support for their wellbeing in a variety of ways (and many other duties besides)! I am also an hourly paid lecturer having achieved my post 14 teaching qualification over lockdown.

I enjoy walking and over the summer purchased a National Trust membership so loving the freedom to experience our country’s rich heritage. I love listening to music, dancing and I dabble in creative writing although I haven’t yet put together the anthology of fiction, non fiction and poetry that I keep promising myself I will do! I have a much loved son who lives in the North of England.

I’m pleased to be involved with this lovely school and hope to continue in this role for many years.
