Alice Westbury

I have been a parent governor since February 2015 and have three children at Bewdley Primary School. I wanted to become a governor as I felt that I could use my experience as a secondary school teacher to help support the school. I enjoy being a part of the team and feel that I can help make a difference to the lives of young people.

One of my responsibilities as a governor is to focus on communication within the school and explore how the school reaches out to the wider community. I write a regular review of what has happened at governors' meetings and this is shared with parents. I have also looked at how the new school website can work effectively. Along with communication I am also responsible for monitoring Lower Key Stage 2.

Being a governor at Bewdley Primary School is very rewarding. The school is driven by a common passion to do its best for each individual child and the staff work really hard to make children's learning engaging and exciting.
