Welcome to Year 1, home to Butterworth Class and Donaldson Class, named after bestselling children's authors Nick Butterworth and Julia Donaldson!

Year 1 is an exciting new chapter in our children's learning journey as they take their first steps into Key Stage One. It's a year of growing confidence, new discoveries and exciting opportunities, building on the wonderful foundations established during their time in Reception.

Throughout the year, children are encouraged to develop their independence, explore new ideas and become increasingly confident in their learning. We recognise the importance of play, creativity and hands-on experiences, providing opportunities for children to investigate, ask questions, work together and develop a real love of learning.

Most importantly, we want every child to feel happy, secure and proud of their achievements as they embrace new challenges, develop lasting friendships and discover just how much they are capable of achieving!

See what we've been up to!
