Forest School

At Bewdley Primary School, we believe that some of the most exciting learning happens beyond the classroom!

Our Forest School provides children from Nursery through to Year 3 with regular opportunities to explore, discover and learn in the great outdoors, supported by our trained Forest School leaders.

Forest School encourages children to develop confidence, independence, resilience and curiosity through hands-on experiences in a natural environment. It's a place where imagination can flourish, friendships grow and children learn to embrace new challenges.

Learning Through Exploration

Forest School offers children opportunities to:

  • Explore and appreciate the natural world and changing seasons.
  • Develop confidence, independence and resilience.
  • Work together, communicate and build friendships.
  • Use their imagination, creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop practical skills through hands-on experiences.
  • Learn to recognise and manage risks in a supported environment.

Whether they're investigating the natural world, creating something imaginative or working together to overcome a challenge, children are encouraged to explore, experiment and discover what they're capable of.

Meet Our Forest School Leader

Our Forest School sessions are led by Mrs Kett, who helps create a welcoming and supportive environment where children can enjoy new experiences, develop their skills and grow in confidence.

Growing Together

Forest School is an important part of our wider commitment to children's personal development and wellbeing. It complements classroom learning and reflects our ASPIRE values, particularly Strength, Independence, Respect and Endeavour.

Above all, we want children to enjoy being outdoors, develop a lasting appreciation of nature and make wonderful memories along the way!
